        Why alnico magnet is used for electro permanent magnetic chuck as a reversible magnetic core?

Alnico magnet has low coercive force, this means that its magnetic state is unstable and can be easily altered by an external magnetic field. It can be easily and rapidly magnetized and demagnetized by a short electrical pulse. Based on this characteristic, alnico magnet is selected as the reversible and switchable magnetic core inside the electro permanent magnetic chuck.

 

        How alnico magnet works electro permanent magnetic chuck?

 Alnico magnet work alongside fixed neodymium magnet inside the electro permanent magnetic chuck, when a short electrical pulse flips the alnico magnet polarity to turn the chuck clamping force on or off in fractions of a second.


 Activation (ON):  A short electrical current pulse aligns the magnetic field of the block alnico magnets with the fixed neodymium magnets, sending strong magnetic force to the electro permanent magnetic chuck surface to grip the metal part.


Holding State:  Power turns off. The magnets hold the part securely with zero electricity used and no heat created.


Deactivation (OFF):  A reverse electrical pulse flips the block alnico magnets polarity. This redirects the magnetic field inside the metal body of the chuck, releasing the grip on the workpiece.

        According to different production processes,alnico magnet is divided into cast alnico magnet and sintered alnico magnet. Compared to the cast alnico magnet,the sintered alnico magnet is limited to a small size,and the resulting blank materials has a dimensional tolerance that is better than that of the cast alnico magnet,and the magnetic properties are slightly lower than the cast alnico magnet,but processability is better.

The shape of the alnico magnet is mostly round and square,but irregular shapes can be customized on request.
The casting process (cast alnico magnet) can be processed into different sizes and shapes.
